Roger C.W. Tang, M.Sc.
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Tang founded Action Energy Inc and has has been a Director and President and C.E.O. since the Company’s inception. Previous to that, in May 1998, Mr. Tang founded Action Energy Corporation, growing the company from contributed capital of $8.5 million to an enterprise value of $60 million. In 1994, Mr. Tang co-founded Tri-Ex Oil and Gas Ltd., leading the company's growth from production of 80 boe per day to 1,200 boe per day, taking the company public on the TSX and in 1997 merging it with Real Resources Ltd. In 1990, Mr. Tang joined Morrison Petroleums Ltd., discovering the Thompson Lake Provost 'A' oil pool, which has since produced more than 25 million barrels of oil. From 1985 to 1990, Mr. Tang worked at Texaco Canada Resources Ltd. Mr. Tang received his M.Sc. degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Manitoba in 1985, where he earned the SIGMA XI Award in recognition of outstanding contributions in scientific research.

Andrew J. Byrne, CFA
Director

Mr. Byrne has been a director of Action Energy and Action Energy Corporation since 1998. Since 1995, Mr. Byrne has been a financial analyst with John S. Herold, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of IHS Inc., a U.S.-based independent financial research and consulting firm specializing in the energy industry. He is currently senior analyst and vice president. Prior to this Mr. Byrne was a financial analyst with another U.S. independent research firm. Through most of the 1980s Mr. Byrne was an exploration geologist for Texaco Canada Resources Ltd. Mr. Byrnes holds a B.Sc. from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. He subsequently earned his CFA designation. He is a member of Association for Investment Management and Research and the Boston Security Analyst Society.

Lamont Tolley
Director

Mr. Tolley is an independent businessman with over 30 years of experience as a participant and an investor in the oil and natural gas industry. He is currently a director of two other publicly traded Canadian energy companies. Recently he was C.E.O. of Rally Energy Corp., which is focused on Egypt and Pakistan. During the 1990s he was a director of OGY Petroleum, Alliance Energy, Renata Resources and Advantage Energy Income Fund. In the 1980s and 1990s he was managing director of Starvest Capital Inc., a private company that managed oil and natural gas investments for Canadian institutions, and which was later reorganized into two publicly traded royalty trusts, both of which were later merged with ARC Energy Trust. Mr. Tolley graduated from Dalhousie University with an MBA and from the University of Michigan with an MSE.

Gregory Turnbull
Director

Mr. Turnbull is a partner at the law firm McCarthy Tétrault LLP. Previous to that Mr. Turnbull was a partner at other major Calgary law firms. Over the past 27 years Mr. Turnbull has served as corporate secretary or assistant corporate secretary for numerous energy companies. During this period Mr. Turnbull was also a director of eight junior oil and natural gas companies that were successfully divested. In addition to Action Energy Inc., Mr. Turnbull is currently a director of eight publicly traded oil and natural gas companies or trusts. In 1976 Mr. Turnbull graduated from Queen's University with an Honours B.A. and in 1979 he graduated from the University of Toronto with an LL.B.

Walter Dawson
Director

Since early 2005 Mr. Dawson has been a director of High Plains Energy, which was taken over by Action Energy Inc. in November 2006. He is also chairman of Saxon Energy Services Inc. and a director of several other companies. Mr. Dawson has spent his career in the energy service sector. In 1972 Mr. Dawson founded and served as president, C.E.O. and director of what became Computalog Gearhart Ltd., which was engaged in oil and natural gas logging, perforating, directional drilling, fishing tool business and manufacturing of well logging technology. Computalog was later sold to a senior Canadian energy services company. In 1993 Mr. Dawson founded what became Enserco, which grew to more than 200 service rigs and 30 drilling rigs in Canada and Australia. Enserco was sold to a senior international drilling company.
